EGYPTIAN
WORD-PROCESSOR
Dr. Seleem has
devised and perfected an Egyptian word-processor, through which original
texts can be transcribed in Medu-Netru (hieroglyphs) in a true type font
format. The symbols were created to match the monumental writing on the
walls of the temples and their quality and clarity surpass even those
of the original texts. The word-processor comprises a computer program
with complete manuals, tutor, dictionary and grammar and should be available
in the near future.

A CENTRE
IN EGYPT
Dr. Seleem aims
to set up a centre in Egypt, where students can study intensively on location
for three to six months. This centre will function much like the temples
of old, where students from Asia, Europe and Africa came to study. Practical
subjects like the cultivation and preparation of herbs, as well as field
trips to temples and other sites, will form a part of the college curriculum.
Dr. Seleem already owns the land for this project but investors and donations
are sought for its completion.

CONSERVATION
Egyptologists
and archaeologists devote most of their time to making new discoveries
in Egypt. However, what is neglected is the existence of an ancient science,
embodied in the architecture and written on the walls of the temples.
It was this science which enabled the ancients to carve statues forty
feet high out of black granite, with a precision and elegance which is
unsurpassed. Even with our laser technology today, we cannot come close
to the achievements of these ancient craftsmen. One of the aims of the
Sia Academy is to organise the cleaning and conservation of these ancient
monuments. This will not only restore something of their former glory
but will also allow the temple inscriptions to be properly documented
and translated for the benefit of mankind.
